I would like to invite you to participate in Cambodian Eats
and Treats Fundraiser on Friday, April 30th, 7pm at Glad Tidings Church. The evening will include entertainment, Khmer
(Cambodian) cuisine, a Silent Auction and tons of fun. The evening will join about 200 people to celebrate
Cambodian culture, learn some helpful initiatives for Cambodians, and raise
funds for my missions’ trip.
Where the funds raised are going
to
The funds raised will support the
yearlong global missions’ trip I am embarking on. I am going with the
organization Adventures in Missions (www.adventures.org),
and the program I am doing is called the world race (www.theworldrace.org). In teams of seven, 50 of us we will venture
out to 11 countries including Ireland, Ukraine, Romani, Uganda, Kenya,
Thailand, and Cambodia. In each country
we will be helping various local organizations in ways such as working in orphanages,
leading sports camps, teaching English, doing community development, working
with organizations that help free people who are victims of human trafficking,
and building projects.
What & Why
This is an opportunity to partner with me as I serve
people in all corners of the world. I will be a shoulder to cry on, arms to hold
the parentless children, hands to feed the hungry, and a joyful spirit to share. By participating and contributing to this event, you can be there with me in
support.
Cambodia is among 11 countries I will be serving in, and has already captured my interest. People of Cambodia have been through and continue to persevere through hardships. Furthermore, Cambodian people and culture should be celebrated for their beauty, rich history, and culture – here is your once in a life time opportunity to do so!
