Life is busy. There is always something happening.

The Cambodian water festival is this week. For the festival, each province host boat races where different teams and organizations compete, and the winners go on to compete in the capital’s competition. Because everyone comes into town for the festival, Thailand vendors set up tents and booths all along the river, closing most roads and bridges. Last night, it took us over 3x as long to get home from ministry because we were walking our bikes through foot traffic for nearly a mile due to closed roads. There was so much happening around me and as per the usual, everyone was staring at me as I made my way through the crowd. Apparently, being tall and having red hair makes you stand out in Cambodia. I was so overwhelmed and flustered.

But, when I got home, I was able to go sit in my hammock on the porch, to enjoy the sunset and some sweet time with Jesus. Don’t forget to take time in the little things, because they will eventually add up to be the big things. Take time for yourself in the midst of the chaos and at the end of each long day.

P.s. it still blows my mind every time I see a cow just standing in the street or in a random field, isn’t that just strange?!
