My Sweet Friends and Family Merry Christmas!

I can’t tell you all how much your love has carried me through this month. Kenya has been amazing but it has also probably been the hardest month of adjustment for me.
Even though I can’t respond to all your blog comments and letters I want you to know I cherish every one of them and they are the greatest gift you could give me. Opening my email is like Christmas.

To those of you who sent Christmas cards, Thank you!!!!
It was so much fun when the mail arrived this month a huge pile of Christmas cards and letters from all of you was plopped in front of me. I loved it. I have to tell you the truth, I didn’t wait until Christmas to open them up. But I have been rereading them and I just simply love that they are from you.

Christmas here in Kenya will be a busy one for our teams. We will be holding crusades every night this week and then two Christmas services to the street kids on Christmas day.

One of the Kenyan traditions is to slaughter a sheep for the holiday. So we will be eating Fluffy, as I named him,  for Christmas day. He is tied up outside and I think he knows what is coming.

It doesn’t really feel a lot like Christmas Here except when I go into the supermarket they have Christmas music playing. Everything in Africa has a beat so even the mellowest Christmas song here is rockin’,  it makes me smile and I think “Yep, I’m in Africa.”

I pray you are well and happy and since contact is sparse I am learning how to pray for you by the Holy Spirit’s guidance.
I love you and I am missing being with you during the Holidays. I’m trying to figure out how to give you all a big hug because my heart just wants to hug you.

As I sit here and count my blessings, I’m counting you as the men and women in my life that live fully for Jesus, and knowing you as my friend is my joy.  I pray that this Christmas will be simplified for you and you will enjoy your family and our Lord who is the giver of all good things.
Thank you Jesus!

All My Love to You,
Cara
