For those of you who don't know yet I have officially accepted a job with Open Schools Worldwide and will be moving to Zimbabwe in January 2013. This is an opportunity that was provided to me while on the race and a chance that I have wanted for many years now. The Lord led my team to Zimbabwe and allowed us to meet up with an amazing family from the US and also an amazing couple from Johannesburg SA. I have been given the opportunity to work closely with the educational program this organization oversees and I have been given the chance to be in a place where my heart races with excitement. I have a huge love for the children we came in contact with while in Zimbabwe and while working with this organization I will get the chance to serve many more of those children. Majority of the kids I will be serving have lost either one or both parents due to AIDS and otherwise, don't have the opportunity to get the education provided by OSWW. I appreciate all the support and encouragement I have gotten these past months and all the financial support that made this race possible for me…Otherwise I may not have found where the Lord is placing my heart at this point in time.
I will arriving home at the beginning of December and will be spending about a month and 2 weeks at home preparing for my move to Zimbabwe. As you can imagine moving to another country can be quite expensive. If you or anyone you know feels led to help in these costs feel free to contact me.
