The Plan:
Pack up, load the private van and take off for Guatemala City to catch the bus to El Salvador. We will spend the night in El Salvador then finish our journey to Nicaragua! A few AIM staff members will meet us there to debrief for three days, then we will begin the race to Peru!
Review:
This month has been full of adventures ranging from volcanoes, the coast, Antigua and Lake Atitlan (it’s in the book
1,000 Things To See Before You Die, and I highly recommend it!). We have painted, scrapped a neglected pool, dug holes, had coffee with hippies, launched Spano’s career, and volunteered at a medical clinic. We experienced disappointments that turned into blessings and found a family that has touched our lives!

During the week we stayed in San Jaun, on Lake Atitlan, many of us were challenged to find ministry on our own. I found that when I truly sought after God in order to serve him, He did provide! After returning back to Antigua for the last time, we decided to end it with an evening of fun! There is the largest
thrift market I have ever seen and we each had 30Q’s (equivalent to $4.50) to pick out an outfit for another team member. We met together, exchanged outfits and went out to eat the legendary Nacho’s at MONO LOCO. Emilie has also posted more of that story as well http://emiliejanson.theworldrace.org/index.asp?filename=just-for-the-fun-of-it

All dressed up for under $5.00!
