We did it! We made it to $10,440! Some people are questioning
“How in the world did this happen?”
The answer to that mind blowing question is God. God has a way of making impossible things become possible for His name sake. I still fumble over my words when I think of the goodness and faithfulness of God.
Some of you are probably asking now, “Are you scared?”
And my answer, “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:7-9
And if you’ve questioned was this a God thing up to this point… I believe we all can agree it is surely a God thing.
Now what you didn’t realize is when you joined the journey to South America you joined a army to rise against every Goliath and every lie of the enemy has come against the children of God. We are arising against the hopelessness, the sick, the deaf, the brokenness, and the poor in spirit to revive hearts.
“He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted
and to proclaim that captives will be released
and prisoners will be freed.
He has sent me to tell those who mourn
that the time of the Lord’s favor has come,
and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies.
To all who mourn in Israel,
he will give a crown of beauty for ashes,
a joyous blessing instead of mourning,
festive praise instead of despair.
In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks
that the Lord has planted for his own glory.” Isaiah 61:1-3
I’m reminded of Gideon who God called to defeat the armies of Midian. What stuck out to me is when God said to Gideon,
”You have too many warriors with you. If I let all of you fight the Midianites, the Israelites will boast to me that they saved themselves by their own strength.”
Going to South America has never been about what I was going to do, what you have done but all of what God is doing in the lives of His people is South America. We all may not be physically going to South America but every donation represented your presence. Every prayer represents your stance.
Dare to Believe that every $1 represents a person who God is calling home to Him.
Dare to Believe that $1 represents a child coming out of human trafficking.
Dare to Believe that every $1 represents someone understanding the love God has for them.
Dare to Believe that every $1 represents a person accepting Jesus Christ as Lord.
DARE TO BELIEVE!
All is takes is one action, one encounter, and one unashamed person to reach out to the unreachable.
“But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!” Romans 10:14,15
In just 12 days I will be departing to Cartagena, Columbia to work with a organization- Youth With a Mission(YWAM) to serve the youth in that community.
