I remember sitting in training camp and glancing around as my squad mates worshipped and empty themselves before the Father.
God spoke and said, These are my Nehemiahs.
I began to see God interconnect each one of us and He said,
Two are better than one because they have more satisfying return for their labor;
And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him-a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
We are just a group of hungry individuals desperate for more, longing to abandon ourselves to serve others, and go into a land and reconcile His people back to Him. As we broke the “Yes” in our spirits cried louder and louder.
God brought 30 individuals with the same passion and longing to rebuild the exile places in South America through love. South America lies in ruins, and its gates have been destroyed by fire of hopelessness, desperation, sickness and disease, poverty, fear, and rebellion but God ear was attentive to the prayers we had been praying,
“but if you return to me and keep my commandments and do them, though your outcasts are in the uttermost parts of heaven, from there I will gather them and bring them to the place that I have chosen, to make my name dwell there.’ They are your servants and your people, whom you have redeemed by your great power and by your strong hand.”
Each day as we came together our cry became one,
“Let us rise up and build.” So we are strengthening our hands hands for the good work.
My prayer is that as we go to rebuild the walls of South America that our “Yes” would remain the same, that we would be a generation of believers that would not faint not but endure under every circumstance. When opposition arises that we remember “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” “Don’t be afraid of the enemy! Remember the Lord, who is great and glorious, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes!” Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. May we be a squad that prays without ceasing and understand that as we are interconnected but our bodies have many parts, and God has put each part just where he wants it. How strange a body would be if it had only one part! Yes, there are many parts, but only one body. The eye can never say to the hand, “I don’t need you.” The head can’t say to the feet, “I don’t need you.”
In fact, some parts of the body that seem weakest and least important are actually the most necessary. And the parts we regard as less honorable are those we clothe with the greatest care. So we carefully protect those parts that should not be seen, while the more honorable parts do not require this special care. So God has put the body together such that extra honor and care are given to those parts that have less dignity. This makes for harmony among the members, so that all the members care for each other. If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it, and if one part is honored, all the parts are glad.
May we remember that The Lord says, Don’t say, I’m too young,’ for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you. And don’t be afraid of the people, for I will be with you and will protect you, I the Lord, have spoken. The Lord as reached out and placed His hands on our mouths to say,
“Look I have put my words in your mouth! Today I appoint you to stand up against nations and kingdoms. Some you must uproot and tear down, destroy and overthrow, Others you must build up and plant. Do not worry about how to defend yourselves or what to say. For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.”
And I pray that L-Squad understand that we were called for such a time as this and God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind in Jesus Name.
