I'm in Haiti.
the land of: "Hurry up. Ahh… we have so much to do"…. and then we wait… for a long time.
It's great….
I'm currently sitting on the beach next to a little kid who is watching me type these words. It's unreal how blessed we are this month.
We are sleeping in our tents.
We are eating yummy food.
We are doing construction (okay, maybe not my favorite thing).
We are with all 45 people on my squad.
We are learning to love in new ways.
We have 30 min of internet a week.
We have running water.
My team is doing laundry.
People are singing worship songs.
People are laying in hammocks.
And, honestly, God is all up in this place.
You can taste his goodness, his love, his grace
A bug just landed on me… and I didn't sream.
I eat almost everything that is put in front of me.
Sometimes it's hard, but sometimes all you have to do is open your eyes and it's overwhelming how simple it really is.
When you look around it's shocking. The poverty is heartbreaking. The need is unbelivable.
But more than any of the pain I see, I see hope in christ.
I see hope.
Christ is bigger.
I will live for this Hope.
I mean, It did set me free.
