Since I have last posted a blog, it has turned from summer to fall here in Romania. I kid you not, the legit first day of fall, the weather started getting  pretty cold. The first thing I thought to myself was that I need more cold weather clothes. Of course, little hipster me, ran all the way over to the thrift store to grab the essentials. I grabbed three long sleeves/pullover type of shirts. I was sooooo excited to wear these new clothes. Like guys, you don’t even know how excited I get when I get some really neat finds at a thrift store! Most of my squad thought I was pretty funny for buying these long sleeves, but also some of them actually thought they were cool as well. Now you might be thinking about why in the world I am writing about buying things at a thrift store. Simple. We run to the things that we find the most comfort in. Whether that’s like me with thrift store clothes or even social media or work. There are so many things in this life that we run to when we think we need them. When really we should be running to things like praying, reading our bibles, building Godly relationships, and worshipping the Lord. In doing things like reading the Bible, we get filled with the goodness that God has for us in our lives. Running to God constantly in the end will bring a much better result in time rather than things that will soon disappear.

During this month in Romania, I am constantly being taught to let go of things that aren’t necessary and learning to dig deeper with God and my relationship with him.
