Yes you read that right. Yes I played this song during dinner time for my entire squad. And you’re probably sitting there playing the song through your head right now. Now you’re probably wondering why “The Final Countdown”. Let’s be real, we all hate that song. Just like I am sitting here and not enjoying the fact that my Race will end in a month. It is the final stretch of the journey I have been on and I can not put into words how different coming home will be. I won’t have to wear noice canceling headphones at night to block my teammates coming in and out of the room and occasionally bashing a mouse on the head at midnight. I won’t have to wait in a 35 person line for food every meal. Bucket showers will be a thing of the past, because I will finally have a shower head. I won’t have to worry about going places by myself and not having to have a buddy to go with me everywhere. Honestly, these things can be annoying and just seem silly to me and probably to you reading this, but in all honesty, I will miss the most little of things. The moments I will look back on will be sometimes the small times that I have experienced and will never forget. I am currently preparing to come back to all my comforts back at home, being with my family again and being stronger in my faith and emotions more than ever. I am fighting so hard to stay present with only about 30 days left on this thing and everyday I am finding ways to build relationships around me and play with all be kids. This life is really extraordinary and the Lord has given me the coolest life ever. I’m in love with this journey he has taken me on so far and I can’t wait to share all that He has done for me with everyone back at home. Also, thank you so much to the ones that have read my blogs and continue to read my stories and see my instagram and facebook pictures! I love you guys and can’t wait to tell you alllll about my journey!
