today is one of our squad leaders birthday- jackie halyard.
jackie is the epitome of joy, and God’s comfort.

in week #1, jackie gave a talk about how she learned a lot about her faith through art.
i love art, and as jackie was giving this talk i realized how happy i was to be lead by her for the next 9 months.
she talked about pushing through perfectionism, and letting art take its course.

jackie speaks the testimony of God’s presence even and especially when it doesn’t feel like it.
one of the most influential things I’ve heard jackie say is
“temptation can be a moment where God wants to meet and reveal and heal you”
whoa.
she has one of the most beautiful souls, and her words and presence carry power.
basically, jackie is a beacon of light in our squad. about 17 times a day, i can be upstairs, and still be able to hear jackie’s laugh from outside.
she has a joy and depth that is one of the best mixes.
I’m so excited to learn from her, and I’m so glad she was born.
