My team and I have spent the last 3 months doing ministry in a village called Llano. Ministry each day looks a little different – English classes, house visits, and on Thursdays: Activation. This looks like coming into the village with a goal to ask God what He wants to do or say to certain people we encounter. When I walk in the village, I feel the presence of God. Throughout our time here, God has given me visions for the city and the people in the village.
On one Thursday, my team and I went into a 2 story home in our village. We were led into a dark, sea foam room with 3 beds. The room was packed with family members, waiting to see what would happen. There was a woman in the home that we were able to pray and watch her become healed of Scoliosis. Afterwards, the woman’s niece walked in the room and someone mentioned that they felt she needed reconciliation with the Lord. In prayer, God gave me a vision for her.
The vision was a picture of her walking through a field, as she encounters a long table. She sits at one end and God sits at the other end. Then, the table got smaller and smaller, until her and God were face to face at the table together. God looks at her and says, “You will always have a seat right next to me in the Kingdom.”
She immediately had tears in her eyes and her body relaxes in peace. I could feel a weight lift from her shoulders from the tangible presence of God. I could feel my heart hurt for her like I imagine God’s feels for her. Her family was also full of emotions – her grandpa crying, her grandma holding her, and the rest of her family watching.
I believe that God wanted to give her a reassurance of His deep love for her. I watched the Holy Spirit break the bad image she had of “Father” in her life and open her heart to the truth and beauty her heavenly Father possesses. This moment showed me that Holy Spirt can renew any brokenness or sadness in our hearts. This is the vision for Llano.
Love and Peace,
