Have we truly sat and wonder how great our God is?
A time is coming where through a promised king from the line of David, he will return to his earth . God will destroy the rod of the oppressor. He will rule all nations in justice and love.He will bring a new era of peace and righteousness. ( shout out to Isaiah 65). If we can make this out in the simplest form, he will make everything right.
But our God chooses to enter as a human. Everything he did was in his humanity not his divinity.
We have a king that is coming with mercy and faithfulness, fully knowing our limitations but meets us where we are. And surely does not leave us there! No smoke and lights, no trumpets or bands, but his roar is real. Our God came as a baby, the lowest form of human existents. The big man had humanity care for his son. The biggest shocker for me is: why wouldn’t he run in with lights or on a horse? He is the king of kings, Hosanna, Alpha and Omega.
He was like a lamb lead to the slaughter. But we ask
Why did he let them kill him? What was God doing?
“ the man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” 1 Samuel 16
This is God’s MO. He uses foolish things to teach the wise. He has a Love that gently, humble approaches and gets underneath the barriers, underneath the hardens heart, and un does them.
Are there expectations that i have put on God in the ways he should show up in my life?
maybe there are small, humble things that He has done, that i cant see cause Im waiting for that big moment.
And are there ways that i have sat back and waited for God to move, instead of faithfully taken small steps of obedience in trusting him. Possibly, the big moment is all the small ones before that i have overlooked or under valued.
The kingdom is not instant glory. It will come humbly, powerfully and beautifully .So that is the promise that i will wait on.
Love and Peace,
