Hey friends!
It’s officially been 18 days of being here in Gainesville, Georgia! If you’re wondering why I’m here and not traveling to a cool country at the moment, go check out my last blog post!
So, 18 days in & a lot has happened. I am living in my tent and using porta potties. We upgraded from bucket showers to actual showers. Yippee! & today we had laundry day, which means hand washing everything!
Now you may be thinking that this sounds awful. And I’ll be honest, at times it’s a little uncomfy. But I’ve truly never found this much joy or peace in just 2.5 weeks. Everyday I wake up to the blissful sound of nature in my cozy sleeping bag. Almost every night my 30+ best friends & I have a dance party! What could be better?? If I’m feeling like spending a little extra time in nature, I go for a nice walk on one of the trails π Every morning I get to spend precious time with the Lord and then we have a beautiful lesson on how to be a better disciple of Him.
I already have an overwhelming sense of peace about issues in my life I didn’t realize I needed to overcome. Everyday I’m learning to surrender my comforts to the Lord and fully trust him. I’m growing more in Him everyday π Not to mention how perfectly He orchestrated the people on the race. I love each one of them dearly, they truly are my best friends. And in only 2.5 weeks. WHAT?!
Alsooooo, GOOD NEWS! At the end of October, my squad & I get to travel to a different state and do missions work with Samaritan’s purse! Praise God π Although this time here can get a little difficult, I have to remind myself of the true bliss & joy I feel here, as well that I need to learn how to be a disciple before I can go make them. So, long story short, THANKS GOD! I’m loving my life here. And thank all of you readers & supports. I truly couldn’t do this journey without you. Now it’s time for me to eat π And yea, we get 3 yummy yummy meals a day!
Much love!
Camille
