First of all, let me apologize that it has taken me this long to write my first blog! I promise I will try my best to get better at blogging and filling everyone in!
Recently, I've been through ups and downs of excitement and nervousness for this crazy adventure through the world. I know it's going to be an adventure of a lifetime, I'm going to learn so much about God and my identity in Him and I am forever grateful to be a part of it BUT I'm nervous to be giving up being with family, friends, a job, comforts of home, etc. It all came into perspective when a near and dear friend of mine said, "Cameron, God doesn't make us do things instead I believe He gives us gifts and He knows and created you to have a passion for missions, traveling, and adventure and this is the perfect culmination of the three." I'm sorry what!? YES SHE WAS SO RIGHT!!! My heavenly father, who knows me better than anyone in this entire world, clearly knows my passions and how to combine them all perfectly in the World Race. While yes it will be scary and maybe times it will be lonely but He has already been there and He will be there the whole time. He also is equipping my squad and team to be the support we need for each other (and that I firmly believe).
So God- I am no longer looking at this as something you want me to do that is a burden but rather you are letting me do this for your glory. It's a perfect and beautiful gift of my passions and I cannot wait to see what you have in store. Lord it is a blessing and honor to be able to see your creation and beauty through not only the scenery but the people of many nations.

I am SO excited for this adventure and I'm excited for you to join me in this time of preparation
