Also, I am excited to tell you that I am at 27% of my support received, which is just over $3,500 and I’ve been getting some monthly pledges as well. So thank you all so much! (
Please forgive me for being slack in sending you thank you cards! I promise they will be in the mail soon!) Recently I was recognized at a family member’s church in Chapin, SC, and was so blessed by the gifts I received from members of the congregation! The Lord has also provided opportunties for free or extremely low-priced equipment on things I will need as I travel!
I am still in need of almost $10,000, which can be met easily by having people who want to support me monthly. If you are interested in
automatic payment for monthly support, as of now the only way to do it automatically is to have it debited from your checking account (if you would like information on this let me know). However if you’d like to do it through your credit card (and get those reward points) you can sometimes set-up automatic bill-pay through your credit card company or bank for Adventures in Missions with my name “Cameron Cary” in the memo section. I hope you are all having a great summer so far!
I wanted to share what has been going on in my life lately, much has changed since my last newsletter.
In April, I attended a World Race training camp in Gainesville, GA where I met many of my teammates and learned more about the adventure that I am about to embark upon! Training camp confirmed for me that God has hand-picked me and each of my teammates for this opportunity to share His love around the world!
Soon after training camp, I had to make the difficult decision to postpone my participation on the World Race, from June until September. This decision was based on giving myself more time to prepare for the trip, emotionally and spiritually, and allows me the chance to spend time with my sister who is having her first baby August 22! I’m going to be an aunt!
Since that time I have been living and working in Charlotte, and God has revealed to me so many reasons why He kept me here a little longer. I’m so thankful for His perfect timing!
I am also continuing to raise support and meet with potential supporters. I have already been blessed so much! My support status is currently at 27% of my total goal of $13,000. I have received many one-time gifts, but I am still in need of monthly supporters. No donation is too small!
I am also in need of at least 15 prayer partners, who will be willing to cover me and my teammates in prayer over the next year as God works in amazing ways around the world! Please let me know if you would like to partner with me on this journey!
