3 days in Bangkok.
100+ World Racers.
16 teams.
4 debriefing meetings.
1 best friend.
90 baht left to spend.
20 great conversations.

and of course…14 hours left until departure for Cambodia. from Bangkok, 16+ hours of bus rides to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. We’ll spend a few days in Phnom Penh, learning about Cambodian culture and religion, and prepping for our ministry sites.

team seven:eleven will be living in the very rural town of Banan. and by town, i mean the orphanage where we will be living. and by rural, i mean no electricity, squatty potties, and bucket showers, where the closest city (Battambang) is an hour away by dirt road.

my team’s ministry will be working with Four Square Church and Orphanage, and will mostly be working with children of all ages at the four orphanages in the area.

this month is expected to be in stark contrast to this past month in Ratchaburi. very different ministry, very different environment. same need for the love of Christ. (same same…but different :))

please be in prayer with us for the people of Cambodia, as well as those we are leaving behind in Thailand. God will continue to work in the ministries the World Racers and YWAMers have been a part of in Thailand, even once we are gone. He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. (Philippians 1:6)

please also be in prayer for me and my team, as we struggle to adapt to complete isolation, difficult living conditions, malaria risk, and learning to communicate with honesty and love. we know this month will be a challenge for us in ministry as well as in community, and we want to be open for how God can use us and change us through this!

thank you for your continued prayers, encouragement, and support!

Plenty have hoped and dreamed and prayed
But they can’t get out of Klimovich
If Schmuel had been a cute goyishe maid
He’d’ve looked a lot like you
Maybe it’s just that you’re afraid to go out on to a limb-ovich
Maybe your heart’s completely swayed
But your head can’t follow through
