A friend of mine once introduced me to the idea of “Heavenly Huddles.” Aside from the attractiveness of the alliteration, I haven´t been able to get this idea out of my head.
I thought about the times that I have felt like I was proclaiming and sharing the gospel. Most of those memories involve other people. I have felt empowered by different organizations I have been apart of and missions that I have gone on. Whether it was going to El Salvador or volunteering as a lifeguard at a summer camp, I have felt like I was doing good work to share the gospel with others, But the commonality between those is that I wasn´t alone. It is much easier when you have an itinerary and structured roles that you know are benefitting those you are trying to reach.
Now, I am not trying to say that this isn´t perfectly necessary and helpful because the gospel is still being preached.
On the flip side of that, I want and pray for the courage to more boldly share the gospel and invite those around me into a relationship with Christ.
I find that as I walk around my campus, I see people who need to know about God, who He is, and how much He loves them.
My prayer for myself and for all of you is that we would be able to not only show Christ to others through our actions and words, but that we would have the courage, through Christ, to boldly invite those around us to get to know a God who loves and cherishes them just the way they are.
Moving forward and in preparation for this mission, I am asking God to allow His light to shine through me to those who need it the most. I would like to bring light to my campus, my work, and my community, because God really is working here in beautiful ways and I want to be able to glorify Him through that.
Thank you all for being on this journey with me! Much Love!
