- Hello all! My name is Callie Fike and I am a fifth year student studying Human Development & Family Studies at the University of Wisconsin – Stout. I am a young lady who has a passion for Jesus, helping people in need, empowering the hopeless, learning different cultures, learning the Arabic language, traveling, and dancing Zumba!

World Race is the name of my campaign. Adventure in Missions runs a program called the World Race; it is a Christian missions trip backpacking without most of your worldly possessions to 11 countries in 11 months to empower suffering people, help advance communities, and to show God and His love.The countries I will be traveling to are: Albania, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, South Africa, Swaziland, Botswana, India, Nepal, Mongolia, and China with my squad of six to seven racers. Each squad’s route is unique and is subject to change.

I encourage you to watch this World Race In 1 Minute 11 Seconds video! It is a must see!
- What is Done:
On the World Race we will be going door-to-door, hut-to-hut, and dorm-to-dorm to pray and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to people who have never heard the message before; feed the hungry; build new churches and schools; teach English to children who cannot afford to stay enrolled in school; play and love orphans; dig wells for clean drinking water; save and empower women and children who are victims of sex-slave trafficking; encourage pastors and missionaries, et cetera.

My Background:
Because I have always had the passion to help people who suffer or who are less fortunate, I have gone to Jamaica and Grenada for service projects, but not religious related. Two years ago, I became involved in a Christian organization, Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU). During this time, God called me to know Him more and led me to the World Race. From attending CRU services and attending two years at the Twin Cities Experience (TCX) Christian conference, I came to understand what it truly meant to trust Jesus as my personal savior. I also learned how to share my faith and help new believers grow in their walks with God. I have truly realized that people all over the world need to hear about Jesus’s love for them. I know that I not only fiercely want to go on the World Race, but I need to.
Why do I fiercely want to go on the World Race? I want to:
- inspire others with my personal relationship with God;
- empower the hopeless and outcasts;
- assist in building God’s kingdom and help prevent sex trafficking and care for its survivors;
- inform people about God, His story, His grace, and how He unconditionally loves us all;
- give orphans my love, food to the hungry, and give the thirsty clean water.
- learn more about God and to deepen my personal relationship with Him;
- explore the world, different cultures, and languages.
- acquire fellowship with other Christians as well as networks overseas.
Description & What I Need:
As you can imagine, a trip like this requires financial support from a number of people; I need to raise a total of $15,500. After over a year of fundraising, saving, and receiving donations, I currently need a little over $10,000. For my second deadline that is June 20th, I will need to have $2,182 more in my World Race account to be eligible to launch this year. My goal is to have 30 people donate $100 for 4 months because I would be fully funded to go on the World Race on time, but if you can support me in any financial way, I would also be exceedingly grateful! Would you consider joining me as a partner in ministry by financially supporting me $100 per month or some other amount you are able to?
(Here I have provided the World Race cost breakdown document to explain where the funds will be going.)

My World Race adviser provided me with a bible study in preparation for fundraising and what I learned is, “The invitation to raising support is an invitation from God to come closer into relationship with Him. It starts and ends with Him. Believe it or not but God intends for the fundraising process to be a joy and a blessing!” This definitely encourages me! I plan on going on the World Race no matter what the circumstances are. This is my passion God has fired up in me to pursue so I will continue to work extremely hard to fund raise to go spread the word of God and to help His least of these children!
The Impact:
Your contribution will make a HUGE difference!

If you cannot help financially contribute to my World Race, you are still able to help me if you would like in the following ways:
Pray, pray, and pray!
Please help me get the word out that I am fundraising to go on the World Race missions trip to 11 countries in 11 months (via social media and word of mouth) and make some noise about it!
Gather some people together to help host fund raiser events for my World Race such as: Culvers support dinner, silent auction, band with cover charge, selling Thread to Hope bracelets (http://www.threadsofhope.com.ph/gallery2.htm), car wash, sell hot-dogs & brats, etc.
