ABIDING IN ABUNDANCE. The words in which I’m striving to live this year.
In my first few weeks back on the field squad leading, these words have taken on the meaning of walking hand in hand with God. Only when I walk with the Father in this way am I able to walk with others, seeing them with unfiltered eyes, and slowing down to really listen to them, pray with them, and encourage them.
By walking hand in hand with God I am able to walk with others in a state of overflowing grace. I am able to love without conditions. Because I am able to extend what’s daily extended to me.
Apart from abiding in God, I would be empty to walk alongside anyone. But each day I choose to take the hand of the Father, I choose to sit in His presence, and to be continually emptied of myself in order to be filled by His abundance.
