1. It teaches you how to be selfless [by taking away your right to personal space and instilling the notion that your belongings are really the belongings of 6 or 7 other people]
2. When the cows run away, they got your back to chase em down.

3. They bring joy to ministry on the days that are hard

4. When you’re eyebrows look like they haven’t been waxed in awhile your teammates eagerly become your new esthetician

5. Doing life in community I’ve experienced the most authentic, loving, and sweetest accountability. My teammates point me towards Jesus by encouraging and demonstrating discipline.

6. You always have a partner in crime to adventure with

7. They never let you jump out of your comfort zone un-supported. You want to jump off a bridge too? They’ll jump with you.

8. My community has showed me what it looks like to be the hands and feet of Jesus as they fiercely chase the heart of the Father.

9. There’s always a brave soul with a strong stomach when it comes time to eat all the foreign food

10. They’re down to risks their lives with you; when stumble upon an abandon amusement park in Africa, they won’t say no to riding the roller coaster

11. In the end they become more than a community, more than a group of people doing life together, they become your best friends and your family.

Today I’m grateful for my community. I’m grateful for the people who are making the moments that are making this year what it is.
