This past week my squad and I (all 48 of us) have been at debrief here in Nepal. We have taken some time to reflect on our time in India, have one on ones with our leaders, explore the city, and go on a SCAVENGER HUNT!!!

I haven’t gone on a scavenger hunt in years so you can only imagine how excited I was! I LOVE these types of activities but the fact that it was in Nepal made it 10 times more fun.

We were split up into teams and given a number of different things that we had to either collect or do as a team. Here are some photos from our adventure!! (Keep in mind, the most creative photos and videos received bonus points)

Go to the Kathmandu Guest House and take a photo with the owner. If you can’t find the owner take a picture with the guest house sign.

Needless to say we couldn’t find the owner. Maybe next time?

Take a picture of someone walking an actual domesticated dog; bonus points if you pet it.

You may already know but it is a lot harder to find a dog that is actually someones pet in certain areas and this was one of them. Luckily we were able to find someone who had a dog as a pet but she wasn’t walking him. I’m not 100% if we received points for this one or not.

Have your whole team join a random group at a restaurant; bonus points for each person who is smiling in the picture.

This family was wonderful and happy to join in on this! Even there baby smiled for the picture. 🙂

Propose to a random member of the public. Make sure you get this on video.

Ok this was hilarious! We designated our teammate Kyle at the very beginning to be the one to purpose. We asked him a few times throughout the day why it was taking him so long to do it and he responded with, “I’m looking for the right one. This is a big deal ya know?” Eventually he decided to ask a lady from the UK if she would marry him. She and her friend were slightly embarrassed but she actually said maybe. It is better than no right?? Way to go Kyle!!

Purchase some momos from a street cart, make sure you get the sauce that goes with them.

Momos are a common, must get snack here in Nepal and the sauce is a necessity!

Go to the Garden of Dreams and take a Titanic style photo.

This is our squad leader and my teammate Kyle. Priceless!

Bust a move in a public place; bonus if you get strangers to join in.

This has been one of my favorite memories in Nepal so far! These gentleman were quick to join in on our little dance party.

Friends! 🙂

Make friends with a shop owner and take a picture with them; bonus points if you get a hug from them.

Meet BakiPaki! This gentleman was a character. One of the things we had to find on our scavenger hunt was a book with a monkey on it. He not only had this for us but he was quick to give us his best “monkey talk.” He also took the time to share stories and pictures of his family with us!

Purchase the most unique fruit you can find, try it with your whole team.

The most unique fruit we could find was this Mosambi. It actually tasted great! It was like a lemon/lime but one that wouldn’t make your face pucker up when eating it.

Make a team pyramid at the gazebo by our hotel.

Success!

Get a selfie with a rickshaw driver; bonus if you can convince him to let you drive it.

Guess what….?

He let me drive the rickshaw!

Woohoo! BONUS POINTS!

Just for giggles…
