Good morning and hello from Nepal. 🙂

So I know that many of you have a favorite song(s) and music that you like to listen too throughout your days and weeks. I wanted to share one that I listened to for the first time yesterday morning. Actually, I’ve heard this song play numerous times but I never actually listened to the lyrics and let them sink in until then. When I listened to the lyrics of this song and let them echo throughout me, I began sobbing. Yes, sobbing. I am a crier and I’m learning to embrace it and love that about myself. “Tears are a good thing.” My amazing leaders have told me this over and over and it is finally starting to sink in. I’m learning that healing can come through tears and that I do not have to view crying as a bad thing or a sign of weakness. I’m also being reminded that God often speaks to His children through music.

The song that I talked about above is titled ‘My Beloved,’ by Kari Jobe. I wanted to post the lyrics below because they are true for each and every one of us. Also, I’d love if any of you would comment songs that you’ve found encouraging recently or in the past. I’d like to give them a listen. 🙂

You’re my beloved, you’re my bride

To sing over you is my delight
Come away with me my love

Under my mercy come and wait
Till we are standing face to face
I see no stain on you my child

You’re beautiful to me
So beautiful to me

I sing over you my song of peace
Cast all your cares down at my feet
Come and find your rest in me

I’ll breathe my life inside of you
I’ll bear you up on eagle’s wings
And hide you in the shadow of my strength

I’ll take you to my quiet waters
I’ll restore your soul
Come rest in me and be made whole

You’re my beloved, you’re my bride
To sing over you is my delight
Come away with me my love
