What’s up peeps! Just thought I’d share what’s been happening and some of the things I’m going through right now. Something I’m learning and that I’ve noticed is that every country has its own set of troubles and challenges that are different then the country prior to it had.
Here in Guatemala I have been facing a lot of internal challenges. I’ve been getting along well with my team and haven’t had any issues since Peru. I am struggling with choosing into my ministry. I’ve been praying for the type of ministry that I’m doing and now that I actually get to do it, I’ve been struggling with actually being present. Because of the language barrier, I sometimes think it’s pointless for me to try and go up to someone and pray for them. I’m learning to get over myself and trust in the Lord. I have seen a few miracles already and yet I still struggle with obeying the voice of the Lord.
It was about a week ago and we were doing ATL ( ask the Lord ), and my team and I felt lead to pray over this man with a crutch. Personally I felt God telling me that this man was gonna get healed and so I led the prayer. Before we prayed, he told us how his horse had fallen and landed on his leg and that his leg was broken. I asked him what his pain was, 1 being hardly any pain and 10 being immense pain where he couldn’t even put weight on it. The man said he had an 8 and then we began to pray. After our first prayer, he said it felt a little better, and then I said let’s pray again. After the second prayer, he said it was a 4! Our faith and his faith was then immediately boosted. We then prayed one last time and when we finished, he said it was better! He said he felt no pain. We then started sharing how Jesus loved him and that Jesus loves him so much, that he was willing to heal this mans foot. While telling him this, I noticed how he kept slowly putting weight on it more and more. We then asked him to walk around and he then began to walk around! He then began to tell us how he was unable to even put weight on it. He told us that the only reason he was outside was because his 4 year old daughter went outside and then he heard all of us guys making a bunch of noise so he came outside to see what was happening. He told us how he hasn’t gotten out of bed all day because of the pain and if he didn’t come out, we would have missed him. I truly believe this was a diving appointment from God. God knew we would be going through that pathway at that exact time and that he would be outside. If we weren’t listening to the lords voice and asking Him where to go, we wouldn’t have found this man and he wouldn’t of been healed. Upon leaving the village, we walk by his house again and I looked and the man was walking around his yard without the crutch even touching the ground. He was just walking casually!
I share this to tell you, that even with an amazing miracle like this, I still even struggle with obeying the Lords voice. Laziness and fear are my biggest opponents right now and I am currently learning how to overcome them. I’m learning that the more time I spend with the Lord outside of ministry, the better I feel and the bolder/confident I feel in the Lords voice.
