Our ministry this month has been very diverse. On one hand we loved on the locals, by living with them for four days. On the other hand, most of our time was spent doing physical labor at Machhapuchchhre Yak Ranch; we stacked firewood, rebuilt a compost bin, leveled dirt, painted fences, buried pipes, and cut/burn weeds. We were building a vision. The vision of the Yak Ranch is to become a restful resort and restaurant for missionaries and tourists. It will also be the home to a future YWAM base and discipleship school. The goal is to have students live with the locals; to have them share the love of Christ with them every day. However, the vision is just a dream right now—it’s a big dream that God has given our host. This big dream got me thinking about what dream, what vision, what mission has God given me?
This has been a question that I have been asking ever since I left for the World Race. What is God’s purpose for my life? Since graduating college almost a year ago, my heart has been yearning to go back and to disciple college students—especially young men. God has been training me into a WARRIOR, a Warrior of God to fight against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Eph. 6:12). The weapons of our warfare have divine power to destroy strongholds (2 Cor. 10:4). God has given me the mission to disciple and encourage young men, to help develop them into Mighty Men of Valor—WARRIORS!
