I am living in the midst of miracles. Every day they say “Buenas Días”. They smile. They laugh. They radiate joy and hope. They love life. Even though life hasn’t been kind to them. Some of them shouldn’t even be here, breathing and laughing. But God has His plans, he has placed all these living miracles at Heart of Christ. It’s impossible not to see the Love of Christ inside them.
I didn’t take a lot of pictures of the kids this month, but Kelley took some amazing ones! Please check out her blog to see some awesome pictures.

All these children wouldn’t be cared for and loved on if it wasn’t for God stepping in and saving them. He rescued them from abusive families and delivered them into a safe home. It didn’t start out as a home, in fact the kids aren’t living in the home. The home is still being built and will be finished in the next month or two—that is also a miracle. The kids were at Heart of Christ before the Children’s Home was built. The Justice Project website is created and the office is rented before anybody has been hired. All the groundwork has been completed, but now the foundation just sits there with not enough funds to build the rest of the mission. The plan has been started, but not finished. By faith the plan will be finished.
We should strive to make plans that only God can fulfill because when we do it requires us to put all of our faith in God. And when we put our faith in God, miracles just happen. Miracles don’t just happen not by sheer luck; they just happen because God is moving. God is moving because we have faith that He will move. And when He moves miracles just happen because that is how God works.
This past month in Honduras I was blown away by the faith of our hosts. They had incredible faith to completely pick up their family and move them to Honduras about 15 years ago. They were heavily involved in the justice system and helped prosecute men who has abused and raped young girls and women. They had faith even when corrupt government officials fired one of them. Our hosts are still continuing their mission of seeking justice and protecting women and children in Honduras. They are continuing to build the Girl’s Home and Justice Center by faith.
Do you have that faith to step out and make plans way above what you can accomplish by yourself?
“And what more shall I say? For time would fail me to tell of . . . who through faith conquered kingdoms, enforced justice, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, were made strong out of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight. … And all these, though commended through their faith, did not receive what was promised, since God has provided something better for us, that apart from us they should not be made perfect.” —Hebrews 11:32-34,39-40
