2 Corinthians 5:7 – For we live by faith, not by sight.
My first fundraising deadline is days away (Sept 23rd) and I still have $1,350 raise. It’s a large number, right now it’s a scary number, but it’s not an impossible number. I know that several donations are on the way and that number will be substantially shrinking in the days to come but I don’t know exactly by how much. Applying for The World Race was a leap of faith and even though I can’t see where the rest of that money is coming from, I will continue to have faith that God will provide.
1 Timothy 4:8 – For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
My greatest motivation for applying for The World Race and the thing I am looking forward to the most for my trip ahead is strengthening my relationship with God. I know this journey will change my life and I’m praying that I can help change the lives of others! I’ve been praying for years that God will use me, that He will not only work within me but through me. I can’t wait to go out into the world, see His creation, and share His love with His people!
Exodus 35:21 – and everyone who was willing and whose heart moved him came and brought an offering to the Lord for the work on the Tent of Meeting, for all its service, and for the sacred garments.
I’ve spent the past few weeks educating myself about fundraising, learning about my role as a ministry worker, and attempting to gain a greater understanding of why people donate. I’m asking that God will connect me with those who are willing and whose hearts are moved so that I may share with them the work that we will be doing. Over the past few weeks I have been connecting with friends and telling them more about The World Race. I am excited to see what God will do when we partner together.
Ephesians 2:10 – For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
