Hello! How are you?
As you may know, for the past ten years, I have had an amazing opportunity to serve children from preschool up to fifth grade within my home church (Blue Ridge Community Church). Whether it would be playing with the Batcave in the preschool room or teaching about Jesus on stage to the older kids, I have loved being able to serve God in a very special way. This year alone, we have had over 20 kids give their lives to Christ! What?!
Right now, I have a opportunity to serve in a brand new way-missions! I have been accepted to travel the world, spreading the love of Christ with The World Race. World Race is a program through Adventures In Missions who has sent out over 100,000 missionaries since beginning in 1989. It is not a literal race with finish lines and tracks but a program that has many different routes going to serve countries across the world! It will be 11 countries in 11 months! The countries I will go to are: Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, India, Nepal, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Romania, and Ukraine. Every day on the race will be different. One day we may be teaching English and preaching in churches while the next day we may be helping construct buildings in towns/villages! There will be many ways for me to serve and share the hope found only in Jesus.
But I need your help! I cannot do this without your support. To be able and participate in The Race, I need to raise $18,700. A very daunting number, but anything is possible with God. There are many ways you can help! For starters, you can visit my blog (calebdawson.theworldrace.org) and hit the donate button, or you can send a check made out to Adventures In Missions (PO box 742570 Atlanta, GA 30374-2570) with Caleb Dawson in the memo line so they know that the money is for me. All proceeds made this way do not go in my pocket but will belong to Adventures In Missions.
Missions work is so close to my heart because it throws me into complete dependence on God and the direction given to me by the Holy Spirit. The people we will be contact with overseas may not hear the gospel or experience the love of Jesus unless we say “yes” and try to reach the unreached. My desire is for the body of Christ to be unified across all nations and borders. Jesus prays for the church, prays for the disciples, saying, “…that they may be one, even as we are one.” (John 17:10). Let’s be a part of what God is doing to change people’s lives and eternities across the world.
