Hi everyone! I hope you are well. 🙂 I know I haven’t updated since I got home from training camp. Things have been pretty crazy! Camp was great. What can I say? God showed up, the deaf heard, the captives were set free, the Kingdom came in Georgia as it is in heaven!
I was asked to be a team leader, which is such an incredible blessing. I am very happy to get to serve my fellow racers in this way. My team is called “Fire! Glory! Freedom!” These are Papa’s promises to our team, and I can’t wait to see them come to pass.
Last thursday I left for South America. I am leading a mission trip to Argentina and Chile, and we are meeting up with Crosswave in Peru. The trip has been incredible so far. Here is an update I was able to post on Facebook yesterday:
Hey everybody!! I’m sending a quick update from Pila, Argentina, where we will be working for the next week. Our host here is Pastor Lucas of Iglesia Vida y Acción. He is wonderful, and his son Santi has quickly become a good friend. Our trip has been incredible so far. God has met us in divine ways since before our first flight and has connected us with incredible people (great new friends) in every place we have been so far. We have been very blessed around every corner, and I believe we have gotten to be a blessing as well. My prayer in planning for this trip was that God would open the eyes of the guys I brought and He has done that both in ways I expected and in ways I never could have seen coming. Please pray for us as the next couple days of manual labor will be very long and intense physically (and with what I have seen of Pila so far, it will be hard spiritually and emotionally as well.
We are here in Pila to help Pastor Lucas build a church building, but God has so much more for us than just that. As the pastor reminded us, we came to serve Christ, and that takes many forms. This place is very dark spiritually and we have already gotten the chance to see people freed from demonic oppression. I know God’s plans for this place and this trip are so much more beautiful than my own, I can’t wait to write more about what God has done. He is truly great, and is continually teaching me more about His goodness and love and power every day. We are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses! Glory to God!
Another big item of news is that my world race launch date was just announced! I will be going to Washington July 2 for leader training and will launch from there! I am so so so excited about this!! It’s official! That also makes it real, and is a little scary. Pray for rest as I transition home from south America and quickly prepare to leave for the next year. It will be a lot in a little time.
Bendiciones, todos!!
