Here we are in Macedonia.
Let it be said that we LOVED UKRAINE and will miss all of our friends dearly
(here is a picture of our friends before we said goodbye!!!
But now we are here in Macedonia and the year is throwing us for a loop.
We have never been in a situation where we are split up before.
Right now our team One Love is 4 girls and 2 guys. We are working with Campus Crusades doing different university Evangelism projects. It is going to be a good time.
But there is one difference from months before. There is no place for us all to live together.
In Macedonia it is very imporant that guys and girls dont live together if their not married. And since we’re not married, we’re not going to live together. =)
The girls have a nice center city apartment which will be great for us to get to hang out and visit.
And Jake and I get to live with our new friend Guini, an Albanian who now lives in Macedonia.
The apartment is small, it is in an area that looks like it is “Fiddler on the Roof” meets Post Soviet society.
So right outside of our apartment we walk by nice cars, a barn with a cow in it, and three Albanian grandmas who are cooking fresh IVAR over and open flame. LOVEEEE ITTTT.
This is going ot be an interesting month. We will be working as a team during different projects, but Jake and I get to be apart of the Albanian culture every night that we go home.
The guys have already taken us out target shooting for a men’s bonding time (i beat jake…few) and now we’re going to have card night with a whole bunch of Albanians in our apartment complex.
We’ll eat the Ivar (a nice hummos sort of thing made out of red peppers) with feta cheese and pickled meat.
We’ll go to the market and ride our bycycles to meet our girls and say hi.
But this month looks to be a fun little manistry amidst our regular ministry with our lovely ladies. GOD IS GOOD!!!!!!!
We’re pumped.
ok more to come
