The Storytelling Workshop was very informative and a lot of information packed into one day or more accurately two half days (an evening, a morning; a morning, and an afternoon of sessions).
I really enjoyed those sessions and all that I was learning, but I also realized how much insecurity I have when it comes to filming, taking pictures, and telling stories (mainly my own).
I had an experience during the storytelling workshop that greatly discouraged me from wanting to “story tell” while on the race and made me question weather or not I was striving or had truly heard God correctly in the challenge of “storytelling” during my World Race.
However, God is so good and that very evening during worship He showed up in an unexpected, way through a total stranger. God is so good. He shows up when we need Him, when we invite Him in.
During the worship session, I was praising God and thanking Him for everything that occurred during the Storytelling Workshop. Even though I was conflicted and confused, I thanked Him and asked Him to come and fill my heart. I also asked God what His thoughts were on me “storytelling”. I expressed to Him my confusion, conflict, discomfort, and doubt.
As I worshiped, I prayed that God would share with me His thoughts.
God hears and answers prayers you guys!! ??
Not seconds later after pouring my heart out, with thanks, and asking Him His thoughts, did the total stranger approach me.
This person came up to me and started praying for me and God provided such sweet words through her that were confirmation. God answered my prayers. He is so good, and meets us where we are at. He loves to listen and speak with us!
This was just the first evening of training camp!
