I was terrified to preach, but the Lord had been speaking to me and showing me Christ in the people around me and Jesus spoke to me through showing up in the community that surrounded me. Therefore, my message on Sunday morning/afternoon January 20th, 2019 was about the Body of Christ and how I saw the Jesus in all of them and how He was revealing Himself to me in greater ways through all of them.

It’s so amazing to me how we can learn more about the character of God through each other as believers, because we are created in His Image and He resides within us! For me it’s really come off the pages and blows my mind, like woah that’s like so mind boggling and amazing!

I don’t speak French or the local dialect here in Mahapleu, but we love the same Jesus, have the same Father, and same Holy Spirit residing within us and I was able to learn more about the Body of Christ through spending the month in their community, going to church with them and spending time in their presence. It’s amazing! God is beyond languages, ethnicities, and all other seeming barriers! We are all different parts of the Body, but have the same head, Christ, we are many, but one.  We all need each other and all bring something uniquely important to the table, to the Body!

Genesis 1:27 “God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”

Ephesians 4: 15 -16 “but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.”

1 Corinthians 12: 12 -14 “For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.  For the body is not one member, but many.”

1 Corinthians 12: 17 & 18 “If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the sense of smell be? But now God has placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired.”
