oh hey, I’m Caitlyn.
I love Jesus and am consistently pretty in awe of the ways he loves me.
I’m a 21 year old wrapping up studying Social Studies Education at the Secondary level with Spanish and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) at Michigan State University.
Oh and don’t know if you’ve heard but I’m heading out on this 11 month mission trip to 11 different countries come August. I’ll be heading to, with a team, Eastern Europe to start and I couldn’t be more stoked. The first country? The Ukraine? I have a couple friends that live there. After Romania and Bulgaria we’ll head over to Southeast Asia and low-key that’s way outside my comfort zone and I’m excited for the ways the Lord will move. And then? And then we’ll go to South America, the region of the world the Lord has so clearly called me to. That’s why I started taking Spanish a lil’ serious in 8th grade and haven’t stopped since. I’ll get to return to Ecuador (where I studied abroad for a semester) and explore three new countries- Colombia, Bolivia and Peru. I’m stoked. So so stoked for what the Lord will do and that I might have this opportunity to be a part of what he’s got going on.
I’m a big fan of notes of all kinds- snail mail, post it notes on my door, the writings of my friends in class tossed strategically when the professor isn’t looking. I love to serve and I have this joy I just can’t shake. The Lord has wired me in a way that I really love people and teaching and doing anything I can to point them to the Lord.
This curly-haired Christian is all about the coming adventure and if you want to partner with me in it, feel free to pray for these nations, for the people and for the Lord’s will to be done. Oh and you can pray for me too if you’d like- that I’d submit this to the Lord and that he would have his way. I think its so easy to look at this as just what I can do and how I can help but really at the end of the day I don’t want my name to be made great but the Lord’s. If you forget everything about me except the love of the Lord you saw… I would so so ok with that.
