Wait a second… Have I introduced you to Bob?

Here they are. My new team. BoB.

Bold & Balanced. A palindrome that itself is balanced… and a little goofy.

After a month with these rad people here in Cambodia here are things I love about us:

We balance each other really well. 3 guys/ 3 girls. 3 extroverts/ 3 introverts. There are 2 of us from each of our previous teams. We play into each other strengths.

We linger, even after official team stuff is done for the night we just kind of find ourselves choosing to be around each other.

We listen. We’re intentional about everyone being heard.

We seek Jesus together. Saturday at noon you better believe we’re in the guys’ room worshiping the Lord together. The hour long tuk tuk ride to the village we have ministry at? Yeah we pray together.

I’ve loved that our rooms are separated by a real thin wall, so sometimes we knock on it and loudly request the other room to check the group message.

I’ve loved celebrating Christmas together. I love our Christmas tree we made together.

I’ve loved being bold together and messing up and it being ok to make mistakes. I’ve loved how safe these people feel while simultaneously challenging me to seek Jesus.

I love that we can show up to Sunday church in the village and be surprised with the news we’re acting out the Christmas Story of Jesus for a hundred something kids. Panic? Naw. Jump in, divide up roles and go all in? You betcha.

Christmas in Cambodia with Bob.

I’ve loved spending time and growing with these lovely people this month. We split up next month (Thailand) but we’ll rejoin together in Burma/Myanmar. The guys are joining up with the other guys on the other co-ed team for MANistry month and we’ll join up with the other girls. ??More sweet stories of what the Lord has been doing in and through and around me lately to come.

Until then,

Here’s Bob.
