Kingdom Come looks like, Jesus coming to the world and living a perfect life. Kingdom Come looks like, Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. Kingdom Come looks like, Jesus dying on Calvary for me. Kingdom Come looks like, an empty grave. Those might be obvious… but what about Kingdom Come now, in the daily? What does that look like?

What does “Your Kingdom come” look like here on earth? How can something sooo heavenly come to a sin tainted world?

The Bible tells us that the Kingdom of God looks like a grain of a mustard seed, planted in a field. The smallest seed in the world, yet when planted produces one of the biggest trees. The Kingdom of God, which Christ said is “within you” was intended to change and challenge everything in our fallen world in the here and now.

Being on the Race, I’ve had a lot of moments where heaven came to earth. Kingdom Come has been through the smiles of poverty stricken children. Kingdom Come has been telling the women in prostitution that they are more than money and sex. Kingdom Come has been loving the one person in front of you, even if it is someone that is hard to love. Kingdom Come has been looking in the eyes of orphan children and telling them that they are wanted and chosen to be kings and queens in a castle in the sky. Kingdom Come has been holding a child in your lap (during a movie playing in another language) and feeding them popcorn. Kingdom Come has been loving a little African child so much that your heart literally hurts when you have to say goodbye. Kingdom Come has been creating a website for a school so that more people will sponsor the children attending. Kingdom Come has been teaching English to 30 little Bolivian children. Kingdom Come has come through loving on missionaries that have chosen to go overseas to love the least of these. Kingdom Come has been faithfully going to a garage dump community every week to just show the children that they are not forgotten.

What I love about Kingdom Come is that it resides right in us, as sons and daughters of Christ. He gave His Spirit when we gave our lives away. So I believe, every late night chat with your best friend, that is Kingdom Come. Every worship session with your people on a dusty roof, that is Kingdom Come. Every coffee date where you swap stories with your friend, that is Kingdom Come. Every tearful prayer, that is Kingdom Come. You are Kingdom Come to this world.

Jesus is using YOU. How we model life can invite people into a relationship with the Lord… a relationship where a lost soul can have Kingdom Come for eternity.

Friends, I want to encourage you to have your own Kingdom Come moments in your life. With your friends, your family, your neighbors, strangers. Look for the image of God behind their eyes, because it’s there. Look and find God around you. Find His Kingdom. It is here. It is alive.

“Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:10
