I am Moses,
Pleading with God to use anyone else but me.
I am the lady at the well,
Stunned that this guy would be seen with me in public.
I am Zaccheus,
Gazing from a distance anticipating to catch a glimpse of the Messiah.
I am Eve,
Deeming myself worthy to be in like status with God.
I am Peter,
Weeping when I gaze into Jesus’ eyes realizing that I have failed and failed big time.
I am Martha,
Rushing pass the intimacy of the living room to gain my worth in pleasing others.
I am the prodigal son,
Straying away from the will of God so that I can satisfy my flesh.
I am Mary,
Wrecked at the mere presence of Jesus when He walks in the room.
I am Jonah,
Called for a specific purpose yet disobeys to do my own thing.
I am Ruth,
Willing to place myself and my future in the hands of a loving God.
I am Thomas,
Doubting that Jesus is who He says He is.
I am the adulterous woman,
Caught dead in her sin in front of all to see.
I am a Caitlin,
Finding myself in each of these stories knowing I am just as much of a hot mess.
BUT JESUS…
I am Who I Am.
I am the Son of God,
Delivered from Heaven to live a perfect life.
I am the Good Shepherd,
Laying down My life for My sheep.
I am the Bread of Life,
Giving freely to whoever comes hungry.
I am the True Vine,
Pruning you to be all that I created you to be.
I am the Resurrection,
Defeating death and sharing the victory with My saints.
I am the Light of the World,
Pushing back darkness with each step I take.
I am Jehovah Rapha,
Healing the sick and the lost.
I am the Crucifixion,
Dying on the cross for your sins so that you may live.
I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life,
Providing salvation for all who seek it.
I am Who I Am.
