They say the best way to learn is evaluated experience. After a 10 day training camp with Advenutes in Missions here’s what I got…
Our mission as participants in the World Race is about spreading the message of the Cross, seeing God glorified among the nations, and serving His people in love.
But before you pour out on others you must first be filled! This is where I got personally wrecked, learned to unpacked my baggage, and claim truth in my life for the first time. Here’s a bit of the Truth I know:
*In Romans it says that nothing can seperate us from Your love. And I believe that! Not trouble, sickness, persecution, hunger, nakedness, or danger…You are faithful and You are here.
*I got a word from a believer one night – She told me that God is captivated by me and my obedience in following Him. Those words were said at the perfect time and reassured my heart in following hard after Him.
*I am humbled in His presence. It’s not about me. He doesn’t need me, BUT He wants me! And He chose me!
*People have different worship styles and that’s OK. I’m mostly a comtemplative worshiper, meaning I enjoy sitting and thinking with my Lord. I also like to jump and dance and be crazy for Him too.
*I am released and forgiven! Easter Sunday we had Church back at camp. With a time of prayer God showed and led me through a time to fully release my past and forgive the unforgivable. It is His and I am healed!
*Jesus is my hope!
*I can pray with confidence knowing that my Lord hears me. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. (James 5:16)
*My journal one night reads “I refuse to let my worship for You remain calm. Yes! You will move through this life! – Powerfully and uncontroled by this world! Hope in Your Name. Keep me connected with You. I need Your presence.”
*I can experience what the Bible says! The Word is powerful!
*God has a purpose for me.
*God has removed all doubt and lies in my mind! (Colossians 2:8)
With all that said, the past fews days have turned me upside down. And I’m perfectly OK with that. 🙂
God bless you leaders that helped take us through it all, my teammates for sweet community, and the dear supporters who helped me get there!
