By now, most of you know that I need to raise just over $16,000 to participate in the full 11 months of the World Race. But where exactly does all of that money go? One of my squadmates (Shout out to Beth! Heyyooo!) posted some figures that I thought were SO helpful, so I wanted to share them with you all!
Training Camp– $320 (For a week in July I will travel down to Atlanta to meet my squad and get an idea of what the next year will be like. From what I’ve read, there’s going to be a lot of weird food, awkward moments, and so much Jesus.)
Field Support– $620 (This helps with supplies on the race, local ministry contacts, etc.)
WR Development Program– $1860 (Improvements and developments in the WR program)
Administration Fees– $2635 (There are a lot of people working behind the scenes to set up travel, meals, missions, etc. This money goes to paying them.)
World Racer (ME!)– $10,075
This is how my budget breaks down:
Intercontinental Travel– $4,235
Food– $1256.25
Lodging– $1,758.75
Transportation– $1,005
Long Distance Travel & Misc. Supplies– $1,115.55
On top of all of this, other expenses include:
International Insurance– $753.35
Extra $ for day-to-day living– Recommended $100/month (Grabbing a cup of coffee, toiletries, stationary, etc.)
Gear and supplies for the WR (Backpack, tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, and more!)
Because of YOUR support and generosity, I will be spreading the love of our Lord to
Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Botswana, Swaziland, South Africa, Albania, Turkey, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica!
