Here I am in Lourdes, La Libertad, El Salvador. It is our day off today and we all have pretty much just collapsed from exhaustion. Every day is a new adventure. We are working for a church here, Templo Cristiano, under Pastor Eduardo. Our main purpose has been giving testimonies and sermons during their multiple services in different locations throughout the city. I guess God wanted me to tackle my fear of talking in front of people right off the bat! We are also involved in service projects across the country such as cleaning buildings and helping at a local school, or running the children’s ministry during regular services. This last week has been an absolute blur, so here is a quick summary.

11 things I have done in El Salvador
1. I have slept in as late as 10 and gotten up as early as 3:30
2. I have given my testimony at a church service and need to prepare a sermon for another
3.I have drawn pictures until I thought my arm was going to fall off for an elementary school, because they do not have posters or copy machines.
4. I have learned how to say “just kidding” and “booger” in Spanish
5. I have eaten Pupusas three times in the last week
6. We were able to pray over a man until we were all in tears
7. Thanked Jesus we only have cold water. It feels so good in the middle of the 90 degree heat

8. Attempted to drink juice, coke, pudding, etc out of the plastic bag they come in
9. Learned to pretend you are completely alone in a room full of people
10. Had complete strangers ask if they can take their picture with me
11. Been blessed and extremely humbled by the people here who have done nothing but serve us and show us the love of the God we all serve no matter what language we speak or where on this world we were born
