This year has been an investment for me: an investment of a year of my life, all the money I have to my name, and an investment in people all over this world who now have big pieces of my heart. Really it’s been an investment for you as well. If you are reading this you most likely have been a part of my year, whether you have been someone I worked with, someone who reads my blogs, someone who prays for me and the people I meet, or someone who has contributed financially. This year you have invested in the Kingdom of God, in my life, and in the lives of many all over this world we live in. It is only fair for you to know exactly what you have done, what the return on your investment has been. You have invested in the lives of prostitutes in the Philippines, showing them that they are not objects to be consumed and thrown out like trash. They have value, worth, significance, and a Father who loves them UNCONDITIONALLY. You have invested in children and families in Thailand teaching them that there is an alternative to selling their children into the sex slave trade. They can be provided for in other ways. You are helping stop the cycle of hopeless abuse and confusion that runs so thick in that country. You see when you invest in God’s kingdom it reaches far beyond what you think you gave. It changes lives, impacts communities, and brings love and possibility to this dark world we live in. You have invested in me as well. God has radically changed and healed my heart this year. For your investment in me, I will be forever grateful. You see, I now want to be an agent of change and bringer of truth and love all over this world for the rest of my life. So your investment this year has impacted lives WAY into the future and set the course for the journey God will bring me on. I am in the final stretch of the race, but in order to finish I am still in need of further investment. I am in need of $1,000 dollars to be fully funded. You have invested in the street population in Malaysia by feeding mouths, giving hugs, listening to stories, and sharing the good news. You have helped me be the hands and feet of Jesus to those other people walk by and ignore day after day.
You have invested by building a school Kenya where children receive education that will serve them the rest of their lives. You have taught them that they are important enough for some crazy mzungu to travel all the way across the world to ensure they will get a better life.
You have invested in spreading the gospel in Tanzania. Through your investment in the Kingdom, Ghirda, an old woman who had been paralyzed for 10 years can walk and talk again. Man our God is good! Pictured below the elderly lady in the center is now mobile for the first time in 10 years
You have invested in orphans at Potters Village, giving them a playground where they can just be kids and bask in the fact that God loves them.
You have invested in street kids in Ukraine. Your investment has shown them that they have a plan and purpose for their life. They do not have to turn to alcohol and sniffing glue, but there is a Father in heaven who adores them and people who will love, take care of, and believe in them.
