We spent this last week in Crystal Springs in Matamata, New Zealand doing a final bit of training before we were sent to our ministry sites for the month. I don’t even know where to being to express how much I have learned in the last week. There were so many details to go over… how to budget, team dynamics, leader responsibilities, rules, and responsibilities. It was in the meetings we got the details, but it is my heart that I want to share with you.

This week I have felt empowered to pray big things. Not the nice little Sunday school please Lord give me type of the prayers, but the ones that change you when God answers them.   The ones that will change this world if people start saying yes to what God asks of them. These prayers are getting more and more passionate as I am realizing that God is going to work through me. The gravity of that statement really hit me this week. GOD IS GOING TO USE ME! I will be used to bless his people, He will use my team to bring the kingdom wherever we go, I will heal people this year, and lives will be changed because of the love of God that we will radiate. If that is not empowering I don’t know what is.

I came into this trip with so many fears and anxieties. Will I be a good leader to my team? What if I fail? What will people back home think if I let go and let God change my life? I was afraid and I was walking in that coming into the start of the week. What a blessing it is that we have a BIG God who lets us cast our worries on Him. The truth is that I had one of the most intimate powerful encounters with God this week that I have ever experienced.   I was able to surrender all of these doubts, fears, and worries. The beauty of it all is when we surrender things to God He replaces those hindrances with affirmations of who He intended us to be all along. God created me to be a leader, to be bold, and courageous. He created my with a heart that has a huge capacity to love not only others, but myself as well. He calls me to walk in confidence in Him. When we embrace the things God created us to be we can better serve others around us. These are not things that staff has been talking about or training us on, but the intimate personal way that God is speaking to ME!

Please pray that my team will continue to be bold and courageous, that we will honor each other before ourselves, and we will radiate God’s love. Thanks for all your prayers and support
