Orginial Blog Title..I know. ONE MONTH, people! (33 days!)
I know, I know I've been slacking on blogging since I got back from Training Camp. Truth is, I feel inadequate to write a TC blog. I've been obsessed with reading my entire squads blogs since we returned from the longest/shortest week of my life. All of squadmates have so intimately written about the life-changing week we all experienced. I honestly don't think I can do that week justice by writing a blog about it. One of my squadmates, who also happens to be my teammate (I'll define those terms in a sec) wrote what I have found to be the blog that best describes our experience. Go to dannyweiss.theworldrace.org and find the blog entitled 'Training Camp'. There he beautifully writes about a church we have all just joined. You won't regret taking a couple minutes to read it. Other squadmates: I seriously love ALL of your blogs and all of your hearts..don't think I'm hatin' on everyone's except Danny's! 🙂
Okay so, here's the deal….I went to Training Camp to meet my new "family" for the year. I definitely went into TC with expectations, even if I told myself otherwise. I'm not going to reveal TOO much about camp, for future racers sake, but camp starts out slow, but intense, too if that makes sense. Our squad is made up of 56 individuals. Our teams are made of 6-8 individuals. These teams aren't put together lightly. After much prayer and one-on-one interviews, Adventures in Missions staff announces the most anticipated part of Training Camp…who you will spend the next 11 months with in the closest community ever. Yes, we'll travel together as a SQUAD from country to country, but each TEAM will be given a different ministry for the month, quite possibly in a different part of the country from another TEAM. Without further adieu, I proudly introduce to you, the six people I will be spending the next 11 months with 24/7.

Hey guys my name's Danny. But enough about me.
I know a guy named Jesus. And all I wanna do is just tell you a little more about Him and what He's done for me.
He's already brought me through so much and shown me so many things, and it seems like everyday I'm getting another glimpse of why He made me the way He did, and what He has in store for me.
The Lord brought me to Himself fairly recently. It's easily been the most defining part of my life and it was honestly something I never saw coming. It's only been about a year now, where I've really put my trust in the Lord and handed my life over to Him. Who'd a thought.

Ok so about me…
I LOVE JESUS with ALL that I am! He is my love, my everything. He's all that I need. period.
*I am in love with the stars he created. They amaze me every time I look at them.
'When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
what is man that you are mindful of him,
and the son of man that you care for him?' Psalm 8:3-4
Sheri Funk; Mt. Pleasant, PA

My name is Sheri Funk, and yes my last name can describe me all in itself. I am wild at heart and a free spirit, Love life, even in the storms, because Jesus always brings us to the other side, and our heartbreaks and struggles make us stronger in Him, I am learning this the hard way, but at least I am learning it!
I am 29, Cosmetologist for the past 11 years, I am finally living out the desire of my heart with the World Race and excited that you are going to be following me on my journey!
much Love!
Samson Tharakan; Pearland, TX (no bio up yet :))
