I have absolutely loved every second of my precious time in Ho Chi Minh City. My squadmates are some of the best people you’ll ever find.
They encourage because they know the woman God has called me to be.
They love me because Jesus loves me and Jesus is inside of them.
They call out truths in my life when I want to believe Satan’s lies.
They make me laugh because they have the joy of the Lord.
We cry together when we’re homesick, but rejoice together in the fact that this is where God wants us NOW.
We know this IS FAMILY.
We are UNIFIED in Jesus Christ.
Can I tell y’all something?! We’ve had worship on the rooftop of a hotel the past 4 nights. Did you hear me?! WORSHIP ON A ROOF IN VIETNAM!!!!!!!!! –Declaring Christ’s love for this city and the people here. Worship time with my KSquad fam is unreal…it’s refreshing..it’s pure..it’s sweet..it’s gentle..it’s renewing..it’s beautiful..it’s OUT. OF. CONTROL. And I love nothing more than a jam session with my family for a couple hours. ON. A. ROOFTOP.
Debrief has been a time for all of us to reflect on the past two months in Malaysia and Australia; to think about your assets to the team, to ask the Lord what plans he has for you and your team, to redefine who your team is, to get down in the nitty gritty, to dig deep at the roots, to rest in the Lord.
A huge shoutout to the Dupree’s (squad coaches) for flying to HCMC and loving on 58 of us with their whole hearts, all while dealing with jetlag! They brought a ton of wisdom and encouragement for us, and I know I can’t wait to see them again at Month 4 debrief after Cambodia! – love you both!
