Thanks for all your prayers our whole squad is safe and sound in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. We arrived around 10 am today. Most of us stayed up all night at the Fort Lauderdale airport so needless to say we were a little tired today, but already God is growing in me a love for all my sqaudmates.

Its hard to describe how I feel right now. I think I am just in complete shock that I am actually here. Luckily it has been a low key day and we have had time to catch up on sleep in a bed! Bonus. No tents yet we actually have a pretty good set up at a Catholic retreat center. I dont know what to except, but one thing I have already realized is I need God every second of this race. This is what its all about living a life that is impossible without God.
In other news I really should have caught up on my espanol. My As in high school don´t mean much here, but its fun to try to converse. When in doubt I have been saying mi amigo es Alberto Pujols and soy de San Luis. They love Albert here! Now for some football news on the plane ride here I met a guy from the Dominican Republic  wearing a Green Bay Packer hat! One more story I may have met my long lost cousin in the Fort Lauderdale airport Shawn Hennessy from Philly was on his way to teach drums in Haiti. I took a picture of the Hennessy family reunion.
Hope you all are well look forward to communicating more soon.
