Dear World Racer,

Gosh am I thrilled for you! You’re reading this in some foreign country probably half way around the world. Places I’ve had to look up! These countries Cait, all distant and in some ways seemingly non existent to our naive, selfish, U.S. life, are all VERY real to you now.

Good.

Let them be real. So real. Leave your heart in whatever country your boots just landed in. Then do it again the next one, and the one after that. Experience like you’ve never experienced before and leave no country wishing you hadn’t held back. Have that conversation that’s awkward. Do the very things that make your knees shake. Mostly Cait… Be open.

Be open to the deepening relationship with your squad (and team), that being in whatever country, with its new challenges, may be drawing you into. Be open, oh so open with people you will meet in this new country you stand in for the first time. Be open with the people back home, cheering you on, about all that you’re going through (though we may not “get” it).

Mostly, be open with God. He will open you, but as you walk in newness in each country He has called you to, answer this – Will He have to pry you open like a clam or will He look down, to see you already laying it all at His feet? He is worthy of your openness. He knows how to handle what’s inside, trust Him.

Whether you are excited beyond measure at this point of the trio, or tired, homesick and weary, know that I’m on the sidelines, cheering you on. I believe in you, because I believe in a Mighty God. You’re doing HIS work. I don’t think it’s a long shot to be able to stand with God on this one and say, we are both very pleased with what you’re doing and who you’re becoming.

So this may be the first stop of many or the country that stands between you and home – but be all there.
Be poured out dry.
Be tired at the end of the day.
Give yourself away.

Do this in all the countries.
Do this and you will truly find your life in Christ.

So go search it out. And lay it down.

That is a letter my best friend wrote me before I left. God has perfect timing, and I needed this now. Hopefully she doesn’t mind that I shared it with everyone!

So I shall strive to be open, to be present, and to give all.

This month, we’ll be working on a farm with lots of pigs, goats, and sheep. Besides farming, we’ll be doing lots of construction work to renovate stuff for the kids camps they have in the summer, as well as the farming side. My goal is to do my best and work my hardest. Cause I’m serving the Lord. And whatever I do is for Him and His glory! Not just here on the farm, but in all the things.

I am currently 79% funded! That’s $12,912 raised out of $16,267! So close to my goal! Please consider donating so I can continue this journey!

Thanks Em. <3 you and miss you!
