I am just over one month from departing to Georgia for training camp! It feels like I still have several months to go, but it really is just around the corner. I am feeling very excited gearing up to leave, trsuting God more than ever. Though at the same time, I am already feeling the fomo of being away from home for two months haha. It’s a bittersweet feeling, really. This past week, I received the details of what this trip will entail. The detailed ministry schedule will be finalized upon our arrival there, but you can at least have a better idea of what I’ll be doing.

The first month will be spent in Nsoko, Swaziland. Swaziland has the highest HIV/AIDS rate in the world, leaving many children without parents. The people in the country also live off of less than $1.25 a day. That is below the international poverty line. While being in Nsoko, we will be taking part in children’s ministry, home visits, manual labour projects, and administration projects.

The second month of the trip, will be spent in Jeffrey’s Bay, South Africa. Located on the coast of South Africa, we will be partnering with Global Leadership Academy. They are a learning center that works with the youth academically, as well as helping them develop spiritually and emotionally. During our time there, we may have the opportunity with evangelism, community garden projects, coffee shop ministry, manual labour projects, children’s ministry, and serving in the Global Leadership Academy.

Being apart of the ministry in these places is such a privilege, and I’m honoured to be a small piece of the puzzle. By supporting me on the mission trip, you are also helping make this ministry possible. You are taking part in life change.

I will have limited access to wifi while being away, but I will do my best to update you all on how things are going!

Thanks for taking a read!
