The only survivor of a shipwreck washed up on a small uninhabited island. He cried out to God to save him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming.
Exhausted, he eventually he managed to build a rough hut and put his few possessions in it. But then one day, after hunting for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky. The worst had happened; he was stung with grief. Early the next day, though, a ship drew near the island and rescued him.
“How did you know I was here?” he asked the crew.
“We saw your smoke signal,” they replied.

(God’s Timing for Your Life – Dutch Sheets)

This is a story that I picked up from one of the books I have read recently. It caught my attention and led to the realization that though it may not seem like it now, your present difficulty may be instrumental in preparing you for the future the Lord has called for you.

Romans 8:28
“And to know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose”

Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

So hang in there (talking to myself & anyone else that relates), the Lord is ultimately going to utilize your difficulty to build you up in His image as long as your continuously seeking His will.
