About a week ago my team and I had the opportunity to pray over a year old boy who lives close to one of our ministry sites. The boy’s name is Simon, and he has a severe deformity in his lower back; specifically, his L3 hemivertebra with right lateral wedging causing scoliotic deformity to the right. This child comes from a small, rural and impoverished town in India. He also comes from a loving family that is desperate to help their son lead a healthy and happy life. Simon deserves what every child does; a chance at a full healthy life. Therefore, Bibles of the World has began fundraising for a surgery that will change his life forever (beyond reach of his impoverished family). If Simon does not have an operation, he will not be able to walk when he is older due to the severity of the deformity. The surgeon has estimated the cost of the surgery to be between $11,000-$12,000 USD. Simon will be able to learn to walk after receiving the surgery.
