Ahh it seems like it has been so long since I have sat down to type one of these blogs. As you probably know the next few months of my journey are in Nepal and India.
This month has brought lots of new perspectives through the good times, and through the more harder constructive times. These times going from our new types of ministry, to being hospitalized for multiple days while I fought off a possible viral infection (never had a diagnosis) and severe fever, then to trekking the Himalayas and building relationships with the villagers we stayed with along the way, to an absolutely chaotic new years eve in streets filled with millions of people going absolutely crazy, and of course getting to witness Mount Everest!
Ministry in Nepal looked a lot different as we did a lot of prayer walks around Hindu and Buddhist temples, helped out at women’s homes and orphanages, lots of home visits, and playing soccer with kids. It was certainly different not being able to share the Gospel in the cities, but I learned that God is so much bigger than that and He is at work even when I cannot exactly see it. My highlights of ministry would have to be when I was given the opportunity to preach at a Christian rehabilitation center twice and being able to be involved with those men. The other one would be trekking the Himalayas while sharing the Good News to different remote villages! People were accepting Christ as their one true Lord and putting away their generational ties of worshiping multiple Hindu gods, it was quite the experience to say the least.
I have now made my way to India (cannot reveal the location to protect the ministry). I am staying in a village that is 100% evangelized and is on fire for the Lord! The past few days I have started to get settled in for these next couple of months, and I am so excited!
Please do not share this blog on any social media. I have been and will continue living in closed countries over the next 3 months. I do not want this to have a negative impact on our squad’s trip, and also want to protect our ministry hosts.
Thank you!
