Asked to lead a women’s Bible study and you have no clue what to do? No worries! I felt the same way and here is what happened:

I was asked to lead a women’s bible study here at our church in Santiago, Chile and I felt like I had nothing to speak on. I woke up the next morning anxious about it. I was feeling lazy and wasn’t ready to get out of bed so, in my half awake stage, God and I had a little conversation about what should take place that night. I felt like the Lord was telling me to play a game with them, have an activity that would draw us all together and glorify him through the fun and discussion. My first idea was to play Jenga and have a number written on each piece. The number would match up with a question I had written or some piece of Bible trivia. However, as the day progressed it became clear to me that I was not going to be able to find Jenga so I had to modify. I got a deck of cards and matched each card with a question. I then bought two cans of soda and two pieces of chocolate. Two of the cards were labeled ‘get a prize’ so those women got the chocolate. After each person got their card and answered their question they had to slide their card under the tab of the soda. The person whose card popped the tab got the soda.

I knew this would only work if the Bible study group participated and had fun with it so, naturally, I was nervous about this activity because I had never met any of them before. However, when the time came, everyone was very willing to join in and we all had a lot of fun!

So, if you are looking for a fun and interactive Bible study activity give this a try!
